Here are some key dates of the BBL 2016/17 season so that you stay informed and up to date with the latest news and events for the season. Don’t miss the games and the major BBL milestones:
September 23 is when the BBL season started.
September 2016 – March 2017: the scheduled games of the BBL will be played. The basketball teams will earn their points and will fight to stay in the top 8 teams to go in the playoffs.
January 2017 (the date is to be announced) is when the NBA Global Games take place in London. Denver Nuggets will play against Indiana Pacers.
15 January 2017 is the date when the BBL Cup Final takes place. It will be held at Barclaycard Arena, in Birmingham.
On 19 March 2017 is when the BBL Trophy Final will be played, at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
On April 23rd 2017 the BBL Championship Season ends. This is when all the teams gathered all the points they need to get in the playoffs. The first 8 teams get to play in the post season, the other four will watch their rivals.
On April 28th 2017 are scheduled the BBL Playoff Quarter-Finals.
At the end of April 2017 is scheduled the Molten BBL end of season award announcements.
On May 5th 2017 will be held the BBL Playoff Semi-Finals.
May 14th 2017 is the date when the BBL Playoff Final is scheduled at The O2, in London. This is the glorious day when the winner of the playoffs will lift the trophy.
